This page highlights of the many activities that take place at the EUV ERC.
Annual retreat: this event provides the forum for all of the center participants to get together, discuss progress and strategize on meeting benchmarks on the main three research thrusts.
Undergraduate Research Experience: Every summer between 8 and 10 undergraduate students from all over the country spend 10 weeks at one of the Core Partner institutions involved in cutting-edge research.
The EUV ERC prides itself for excellent quality and dedication of the graduate students it attracts. Many of them have received very important awards, click here to see them.

Physics for Fun -Pueblo CO: (Mike writes)

Workshop on Optics and Lasers for High School students: The aim of this yearly workshop is to allow students to perform hands-on experiments in optics and lasers, get them excited about the field, and encourage them to consider engineering or science as a profession.

Let’s Make Light: Workshop for Female Elementary School Students: This workshop, part of a month-long series aimed at motivating women to enter science, introduces basic concepts of how light is generated by the sun, light sticks, incandescent light bulbs, light emitting diodes and laser diodes through exciting hands-on experiments.

Other events: Hiking in the Flatirons after a strenuous Site Visit in June 2004: Michael Celaya, Education Coordinator headed this event in which graduate and undergraduate students from all three campuses participated.
